The top photo shows the Greek Revival brick townhouse in a streetscape between two similar fine brick townhouses. (Views across the street from the townhouses, not shown, are of two of the most important early houses in Hudson, one built by Seth Jenkins, an original Proprieter and first mayor, and a second built by Robert Jenkins, Seth's son, also a mayor). The townhouse has three floors of beautifully and creatively renovated living areas including a new kitchen, three or four bedrooms, and two and a half new baths. Two of the bedrooms and a bath are shown in the second row of photos. The sweeping stairs lead to the grand open space on the third floor with high ceilings that is now used as a spectacular art studio (see third row of photos) with full bath, separate office, and balcony. These spaces could also be used as additional living space. All mechanical and structural systems have been completely updated. |
